Stephanie Gaumer

Stephanie is a former NCAA gymnast turned mental performance coach and licensed mental health therapist. She was a member of the University of Michigan Women’s Gymnastics team from 2011 to 2014, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Michigan and later her Master in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago in 2016.

Her passion for mental training stems from personal experience. After undergoing major surgery in high school and later sustaining a career-ending injury before her senior year of college, Stephanie was forced to navigate the mental and emotional challenges of recovery, identity loss, and transition out of competitive athletics. Those experiences drive her belief that while all athletes train their bodies, it’s mental strength that truly elevates performance.

Alongside her work as a performance coach, Stephanie operates a private therapy practice in Michigan, where she supports clients facing a variety of mental health challenges. Outside of her professional roles, she enjoys quality time with her husband and their two young daughters, Ella and Kaylee.
