Being the parent of an athlete is nerve wracking. At times, it can feel like you’re the one with performance anxiety.
It’s understandable.
After all, you’re the one who may need to pick up the pieces if things don’t go well. You also get to lead the celebration when they do. Dealing with the training and practicing and the days you both wish you could just stay home and watch a movie.
Parents deserve a trophy too.
I know you wouldn’t trade the experience of seeing your kid having a blast participating in something they love.
But it’s still okay to wish it could be a tiny bit easier.
